Overview

This qualification covers the electrical, instrument and radio systems an avionics technician maintains every day, from wiring looms and power distribution to navigation and communication equipment.

The course runs for 10 months full-time and is delivered on campus in workshops fitted with the equipment used on the line.

  • A pathway to a licensed avionics role.

Entry requirements

Applicants need Year 10 or equivalent, with a pass in mathematics and English.

International applicants also need to meet the English requirement shown in the Enrolment Summary.

Course structure

Core units cover maintenance documentation, workplace safety and human factors. Specialist units cover aircraft electrical systems, instruments, radio and navigation equipment.
