Our practical course covers the units of competency (MEAs) required when adding the B2 category to your existing CASR Part 66 B1 Licence.
This is a 5-day course where applicants must have a good understanding of electrical and electronic fundamentals, digital techniques and electronic instrument systems. Your suitability for the course will be assessed upon receiving full documentation for your application.
Aviation Australia will sign you off on the practical component of the Units of Competency in your journal.
Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers
- CASA Part 66 Licence
- CASA CAR 31 / CASA PART 66 Examination Results
- Australian (VET) Qualifications and Statements of Attainment (where applicable)
- Foreign Licenses, Company authorisations/approvals, letters of endorsement of privileges exercised (QA)
- Resume: timeline of your work experience and currency
Aviation Australia RPL Customers
- As highlighted in your RPL Report
Apprentices/ Trainees (this will be vetted on a case by case basis)
- CASA CAR 31 / CASA PART 66 Examination Results
- Australian (VET) Qualifications and Statements of Attainment
- Company authorisations/approvals, letters of endorsement of privileges exercised (QA) (where applicable)

Practical Course
This practical course covers the units of competency (MEAs) required when adding the B2 category to a CASR Part 66 B1 Licence without E1,E4,E5 & E6 exclusions.
Course contains the following units of competency (MEA206, MEA224, MEA225, MEA226, MEA228, MEA229, MEA230, MEA232, MEA235, MEA292 & MEA293).
