The Certificate II in Aeroskills (MEA20418) is undertaken as a Vocational Education and Training in schools’ program. No aircraft leaves the ground without being checked by an engineer. Being an aircraft maintenance engineer means working on the most exciting and advanced technology in the world. It’s a hands-on and extremely rewarding career pathway where you literally see your hard work take off.

This school pathway program is the perfect introduction for any hands-on person with a passion for aviation. After you finish the course, you will have the skills and knowledge required to attract an apprenticeship or traineeship in the highly sort-after field of aircraft maintenance.

To be awarded the MEA40618 Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics), competency must be demonstrated in:

Aircraft Maintenance Stream

• Twelve (12) Core common and imported units and
• Thirteen (13) Elective technical stream units from Group A.
  Total: Twenty-five (25) units.

OR

Component Maintenance Workshop Stream

• Thirteen (13) Core common and imported units and
• Three (3) Elective technical stream units from Group B.
  Total: Sixteen (16) units.

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licenses (local and/or foreign) 
• Company authorisations/approvals 
• Letters of endorsement of privileges exercised (QA) 
• Australian (VET) Qualifications and Statements of Attainment 
• Part 66 theory results (EASA, CASA, GCAA) from Approved Part 147 organisations. 
• CASA Basics (CAR31) exam results 
• Licensing exam results 
• Workplace service letters
• Trade certificates and qualifications
• Training certificates (type training, skills training) 
• Qualification certificates (Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, etc.) 
• Company training records
