Aviation Australia Updates

Aviation Australia celebrates 25 years and unveils refreshed brand for the future

Today, Aviation Australia has over 190 employees nationally and has trained more than 25,000 students nationally and internationally, developing skilled professionals and creating career pathways across aviation, aerospace and defence.

The refreshed brand unveiled as part of the anniversary celebrations honours that history while reflecting Aviation Australia’s vision to be the aviation and aerospace Centre of Excellence for learning and development.

Glenn Ryan, CEO, Aviation Australia, said the 25th anniversary was an opportunity to celebrate the organisation’s achievements while setting its sights firmly on the future.

Last night was a fantastic opportunity to bring together our people, industry partners and supporters to celebrate what Aviation Australia has achieved over the past 25 years. From 21 employees in 2001 to an organisation that has now trained more than 25,000 students nationally and internationally, it is remarkable to reflect on how far we have come. Our success has been built on strong industry relationships, practical and industry-led learning, and the commitment of our people to developing skilled professionals who are ready to contribute to the aviation and aerospace sectors. Our refreshed brand celebrates that heritage while looking firmly to the future. As aviation and aerospace continue to evolve, so too will Aviation Australia. As we begin our next chapter, our focus remains on inspiring and developing world-leading aviation and aerospace professionals through innovative learning and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
Glenn Ryan, CEO, Aviation Australia

Strong industry partnerships remain central to Aviation Australia’s approach, connecting training with current and emerging workforce needs and creating meaningful pathways into aviation and aerospace careers.

Recent initiatives including the Qantas Engineering Academy and Townsville Aviation Training Academy demonstrate the importance of collaboration in developing the next generation of aviation professionals and strengthening the industry’s future workforce.

Mark Xavier, the new Chair of Aviation Australia, said the 25-year milestone provided an opportunity to recognise the organisation’s strong foundations while looking ahead to new opportunities.

Aviation Australia has an impressive legacy of supporting the aviation and aerospace industries through training, education and close industry collaboration. As the new Chair, I am proud to be joining Aviation Australia at such an important point in its history. The refreshed brand signals an exciting new chapter and reflects our ambition for the future. Our opportunity now is to build on 25 years of experience, strengthen our partnerships and ensure Aviation Australia continues to develop the skills and capabilities our industries will need for the decades ahead.
Mark Xavier, Chair of Aviation Australia

Looking ahead, Aviation Australia will continue to evolve its training capability in response to emerging technologies and changing workforce requirements, while strengthening the industry partnerships and career pathways that have been central to its first 25 years.

The refreshed brand represents the next chapter in that journey, building on a proud 25-year history while positioning Aviation Australia for the opportunities of the future.
