Aviation Australia Expands NSW Apprentice Training Program with Airbus

Aviation Australia is expanding its apprentice training capability in New South Wales through the delivery of a new Airbus‑aligned apprentice training program which commenced in March. This expansion represents a significant step in strengthening our national training footprint and supporting the current and long‑term workforce needs of the aviation sector.

Following initial engagement led by Aviation Australia’s Commercial team, we are now delivering workforce solutions in New South Wales that directly support Airbus capability requirements and long‑term aircraft maintenance engineering needs.

The apprentice training program currently supports 27 apprentices undertaking either specialisations in the Diploma of Aeroskills with Aviation Australia:

  • MEA50118 Diploma of Aeroskills – Avionics
  • MEA50219 Diploma of Aeroskills – Mechanical

These apprentices represent the next generation of skilled aviation professionals and form a critical part of Airbus’s future workforce pipeline.

By working closely with industry partners, Aviation Australia continues to respond to workforce demand, strengthen technical capability, and deliver high‑quality, industry‑aligned training. This collaboration ensures our training solutions remain closely aligned with industry requirements while contributing to a skilled and sustainable aviation workforce.

This partnership is another important Global Prime collaboration for Aviation Australia this year, reflecting our commitment to working with industry partners to build a sustainable aviation workforce.
