About Aviation Australia

Building skills. Creating careers. Strengthening aviation.

Aviation Australia was established by the Queensland Government in 2001 with a clear purpose: to develop the skilled people aviation needs. Twenty-five years later, more than 1,000 of our graduates are building careers across aviation and aerospace in Australia and around the world.

As a Registered Training Organisation, we train aircraft maintenance engineers, commercial pilots, cabin crew and remote pilots through practical, industry-connected learning. From real aircraft and working hangars to flight simulators and cabin training environments, our students build the knowledge, technical skills and experience needed for the realities of working in aviation.

Our training is backed by nationally and internationally recognised approvals, including the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and European Union Aviation Safety Agency, with Part 66 training and assessment recognised by the Defence Aviation Safety Authority. It means the skills and qualifications you build with us can create opportunities well beyond the classroom.

Our connection with industry is fundamental to how we train. We partner with more than 60 airlines and aerospace organisations, governments, defence forces and regulatory authorities, helping us stay connected to the skills, technologies and capabilities aviation needs next. Those insights shape our training and help prepare our graduates for the expectations of the real world.

Learning doesn’t stop once you enter the industry. We provide pathways for aviation professionals to upskill, build new capabilities and continue their professional development as their careers and the industry evolve.

Whether you’re starting your career, changing direction, advancing your skills or developing the capability of your workforce, there’s a pathway forward with Aviation Australia.
